FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS.
Straight answers about what LOAD X does, how requests work, and the freight services we coordinate.
GENERAL
What does LOAD X do?
LOAD X is a freight service coordination company. You send one request describing what your freight needs, and the team sources and coordinates the right facility, crew, driver or service, acting as your single point of contact.
Does LOAD X own the facilities and trucks?
No. LOAD X sources providers for each request — crossdocks, warehouses, cold storage, crews and carriers — and coordinates the work. Availability is confirmed with the provider for every request.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the service, the provider, the amount of freight and the timing. LOAD X works out the cost with you as part of coordinating the request, before anything is confirmed.
How quickly can you help?
The LOAD X team is alerted to every new request, and urgent requests are flagged. How fast a provider can act depends on what’s available near your freight at that time; LOAD X doesn’t promise times before a provider confirms.
Is anything booked when I submit a request?
No. Submitting sends the request to the LOAD X team for review. Nothing is booked or confirmed until LOAD X confirms the plan with you.
How do I check on my request?
Use the private tracking link from your confirmation, or enter your request number with the email or phone on the request at Track a request.
CROSSDOCKING & TRANSLOADING
What’s the difference between crossdocking and transloading?
Crossdocking moves freight between trucks to consolidate, split or re-route it; transloading moves freight from one type of equipment or mode to another, like a container to a trailer. See Crossdock vs. transload.
My truck broke down loaded. Can the freight be moved to another truck?
Yes, that’s a common crossdock or transload request. Send where the truck is, what the freight is and how many pallets, and LOAD X sources a dock and, if needed, another truck.
Can a crossdock sort freight by destination?
Many can. Say what sorting, counting or labeling you need, and LOAD X confirms it with the facility.
STORAGE & TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Can I store freight for just a few days?
Often, yes. Tell LOAD X how long you expect and the team checks facilities that accept short stays.
Do you coordinate chilled and frozen storage?
Yes. Include the temperature range and product type; LOAD X only works with facilities that confirm they can hold that range.
My reefer failed. What should I do?
Keep the doors closed, note the temperature and time, photograph the unit display, and send NEED HELP NOW or call the 24/7 line. See cold storage.
RESTACKS & REFUSED LOADS
The receiver refused my load for shifted pallets. What now?
Usually the freight goes to a nearby dock for a restack, then gets a new appointment. See what to do when a load is rejected.
Can damaged cases be separated for a claim?
Yes. Ask for damaged product to be counted, photographed and set aside, and LOAD X confirms it with the dock.
Should I send photos?
Yes. Photos of the freight, the damage and any paperwork help the team plan the work and help with claims. You can attach them to the request or add them later on the tracking page.
ACCOUNTS & MEMBERSHIPS
Do I need an account to request help?
No. Anyone can send a request. Repeat customers can be invited to a customer portal that shows all their requests.
Is LOAD X PRO the same as the Load Board?
No. LOAD X PRO is a membership with service maps and priority requests; the Load Board is a separate subscription marketplace for carriers and brokers.
How do providers join the LOAD X network?
Facilities, crews and carriers apply online. The team reviews every application; applying doesn’t add you to the network or guarantee work.
READY WHEN YOU ARE.
Send the details once. LOAD X reviews the request, sources the right provider and confirms the plan with you before anything is booked.
