WHAT IT IS
A freight emergency is anything that stops a load from moving as planned: a breakdown, an accident, a driver out of hours, a reefer failure, shifted pallets, a refused delivery, or freight that suddenly needs somewhere to go. The fix is usually one or more of the services LOAD X coordinates — a crossdock, storage, cold storage, a restack, a transload or a new truck.
If anyone is hurt or there is a safety hazard, call 911 first. LOAD X coordinates freight services; it isn’t an emergency responder.
WHEN YOU NEED IT
- The truck broke down or was put out of service with freight on board
- A reefer unit failed or product is out of temperature range
- The receiver refused the load and the driver has to leave
- Pallets shifted or collapsed and the load can’t be unloaded safely
- You need a dock, storage or a new truck in the next few hours
HOW LOAD X COORDINATES IT

- LOAD X asks what it needs to know. The team contacts you at the number you gave to fill in the gaps.
- The team sources the fix. LOAD X contacts nearby facilities, crews or carriers and asks each to confirm availability now.
- You confirm the plan. Nothing is booked until LOAD X confirms it with you.
- Follow it on your tracking page. Add photos or paperwork there, and get updates by text or email if you opted in.

The LOAD X assistance line, 503-490-0735, is a 24/7 line, and requests can be sent online at any time. How quickly a provider can respond depends on the location and time.
How fast can you get a provider there?
That depends on what’s nearby and available. LOAD X never promises an arrival time before a provider confirms one.
I’m a driver. Can I request help myself?
Yes. Drivers, dispatchers, brokers and shippers can all send a request. If you run into problems often, LOAD X PRO adds service maps and priority requests.
