PALLET RESTACKING,
BACK TO DELIVERABLE.
Shifted, leaning or damaged pallets often get refused. LOAD X finds a dock and crew to restack, rewrap or rebuild the freight so it can move again.
LOAD X sources and coordinates the right provider for each request. LOAD X does not own every facility, truck or crew, and provider availability is confirmed per request — nothing is booked until LOAD X confirms it with you.
WHAT IT IS
A restack is rebuilding pallets that shifted, collapsed or were built badly: taking cases off, re-stacking them square on a pallet (sometimes a new one), and stretch-wrapping or strapping them again. Rework can also include replacing broken pallets, sorting damaged cases from good ones, relabeling, or re-palletizing floor-loaded freight.
Restacking usually happens at a dock where the trailer can be unloaded, so it is often combined with crossdocking or short-term storage.
WHEN YOU NEED IT
- Pallets shifted in transit and the receiver refused the load
- Freight is leaning, crushed or unsafe to unload
- Pallets must be rebuilt to the receiver’s height or pallet requirements
- Floor-loaded freight needs to be palletized, or pallets need to be broken down
- Damaged cases must be separated and counted for a claim
HOW LOAD X COORDINATES IT
- You send the request. Use the request form, NEED HELP NOW, the LOAD X assistant or the 24/7 line. You get a request number and a private tracking link.
- LOAD X reviews it. The team reads the details, checks what’s missing and contacts you if anything needs clarifying.
- The team sources providers. LOAD X reaches out to facilities, crews or carriers that fit the freight, location and timing, and asks each one to confirm availability for this job.
- You confirm the plan. LOAD X brings the option back to you. Nothing is booked until LOAD X confirms it with you, and the tracking page only shows SOLUTION CONFIRMED once it is.
- LOAD X stays your point of contact. Status updates appear on your tracking page (and by email or text if you opt in), and you can add photos or paperwork there at any time.
WHAT TO SEND US
The more of this you include, the faster the team can source the right option. Photos and paperwork can be attached to the request.
- Pickup and delivery locations (city and state at minimum; full addresses if you have them)
- The date you need it done, or whether it’s flexible
- Pallet count, dimensions and approximate weight
- Commodity, and whether anything is hazmat, fragile or high value
- Your name, company, phone and email
- Photos of the freight inside the trailer and of any damage
- The receiver’s refusal reason or requirements, if you have them
- Number of pallets affected, and whether new pallets or wrap are needed
- Whether damaged product needs to be counted, photographed or set aside

COMMON QUESTIONS
Can a restack be done at the receiver?
Sometimes a receiver allows it on site, but usually the freight goes to a nearby dock. LOAD X checks what’s possible and sources a dock and crew if needed.
Will a restack fix a refused load?
Often a refusal for shifted or unsafe pallets is solved by a restack and a new appointment. Refusals for damaged or wrong product may need a different plan; LOAD X helps you work out the next step.
Should I take photos first?
Yes. Photos before anything is moved help with claims and help the crew plan the work. Attach them to your request.
